30 Canyon View, Orinda

This is the first journal entry in a new era of information about our art on-site-for-sale program. The idea is that the snapshots below provide a little tour of the art work as it is installed. The shots are not good documentation of the artwork out of context. At Nest, we are all about Art in Context, the context of the home.

There are a lot of little notes in this blog about the art and the artists that I hope you find enlightening about the work we are oh so proud to represent.

For all inquiries about the art for sale in our staged homes please give us a call, our office phone is 510-839-3905. You can call me, Obi Kaufmann, the Art Director of Nest Home Design's art program directly at 510-914-8364
As we ramp-up http://www.nestgallery.com/ you can find examples from our wonderful collection here. This entry exhibits the art we have hanging at 30 Canyon View Rd, Orinda. Staged 03-26-08.

Jeff Paul Riley "Untitled" oil on canvas, 60"x28", $2000.

Jeff's multilayered, rich approach to making paintings continues to serve him well in this newer work where he employs a drip technique in this intriguing piece. Nest gallery is proud of our extentensive collection of Jeff Riley's work that we represent. Although he is not exhibited on the art site at the time of this post, we would be happy to forward and discuss his portfolio with any interested clients.

(above) Diane Dunwoodie, Horizon Series prints (from top to bottom:) #5,#8 (pictured twice,) 16"x20", matted print, $150 each.
Diane's prints, here photographed in the rising sunlight at Canyon View, are concise and elegant images that encapsulate what her work normally represents: large-scale abstracts with bold, acrylic colors.

Raymond Haywood's prints on site in the master bedroom, see below for details

>

Raymond Haywood "Happiness Sumo", acrylic and enamel on rag paper, 21"x17" framed, 2007, $550

Raymond Haywood "Ghost", acrylic and enamel on rag paper, 21"x17" framed, 2007, $550

Raymond Haywood "Three Crowns", acrylic and enamel on rag paper, 21"x17" framed, 2007, $550

Raymond's work is totally urban chic. It manages to skirt the edge of being understated and dramatic at the same time. His work is reminiscent of the paint-by-numbers sets he claims to have learned to paint from when he was a child.

Daniel Newman "Internal Dialogue", photo-layering print mounted on board, signed limited edition number 1/50, 21-1/2"x14-1/2", $400
